BALANCING THE NEEDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL WITH THE NEEDS OF THE WHOLE
Mandala has always followed a philosophy of inclusion, striving to meet the needs of individual differences as much as possible within the framework of a typical preschool setting.


We work together as a team to support a child. We are a school that believes in inclusion and we want to be prepared as best we can to help your child be successful in our program. If your child is receiving special services, or if your child has a diagnosis or an IEP/IFSP, please let us know so we can best help your child and effectively communicate with you and your child’s team of service providers. If your child is receiving ABA, please ask us about our shadow aide policy.

We have found that for some children with differing needs or challenges our program has limitations. Because of our large, open classrooms, Mandala is not always the best fit for children who are easily overstimulated or need a more structured environment and closer teacher direction. However, we are always happy to talk with you, meet your child, and give our classroom a try with our 2-week trial period. We can suggest supports and resources to encourage success.
