MORNING PRESCHOOL TEACHER
We are currently looking for a half-time, five-day morning preschool teacher. We are seeking someone who is Montessori-trained, is highly nurturing, and is able to work effectively as a member of a cohesive teaching team. Good interpersonal relationship skills and written/verbal  communication skills are essential.

Desired Qualifications
Early Childhood Education (AS or BS desired)
Montessori training (desired)
Child Development Permit

VOLUNTEERING
Many young students like to work volunteer at Mandala to obtain community service hours. Please contact the Preschool Director, Penny Lawrie, at (408) 251-8633 x13. We have limited spaces and give preference to our Mandala alumni.

OBSERVATIONS
Mandala receives a number of inquiries from college students in early childhood classes who wish to do a classroom observation in one of our programs. While we are happy to accommodate as much as possible, we do limit the number of adults in our classrooms. Please call Penny Lawrie, Preschool Director, at (408) 251-8633 x13 to check availability and make a reservation.

STUDENT TEACHERS & MENTEES
Mandala has been identified as an exemplary preschool by the California Early Childhood Mentor Program. Our Mentor Teachers supervise students from local community colleges each semester. Many students are interested in volunteering and learning about our Montessori classroom. In order to be considered as a Mentee at Mandala Children’s House, students must work through their instructor and obtain approval from the Mentor.
